GOOD: The Hidden Cost of War

http://good.is/In 2003 Donald Rumsfeld estimated a war with Iraq would cost $60 billion. Five years later, the cost of Iraq war operations is over 10 times that figure. So what's behind the ballooning dollar signs? Joseph E. Stiglitz and Linda J. Bilme's exhaustedly researched book, "The Three Trillion Dollar War: The True Cost of the Iraq Conflict," breaks down the price tag, from current debts to the unseen costs we'll pay for years to come.

Hummm, as far as I'm concerned, dumb ass republicans are quite stupid people. I saw a republican dude once and had a talk with him and he said:"Maby there is no money for the poor... But there is always enough money for a war!"I was like, OMG! ^^Emagine, what would world look like, if countries took the cash spent on military and spend it on health care, food for the poor etc... Meh, our civilisation is fucked up.

Yeah, we clearly need to spent that much for a group of 10,000 terrorists or so that act NOT IN THE US.

I wonder if it is so easy, the American economy pyramid model is founded on a military economy, it might have more supporters than you think in the White House as the other option would make them unpopular and have to think about the US having a self supporting economy./watch?v=8y06NSBBRtY;)

The republican party should be eliminated and this will de-teeth the military industrial complex. Tax industries that cost us in life. That would be oil and Hollywood Companies that produce violent and sexually exploitative movies. Roll back the tax cuts bush ushered in through use of reconciliation. It's so easy. Just get rid of the republicans!

Or tax repubicans to death for the hell they've caused in this world in tandem with Israel. Jail republican supporters for treason and that is a good start.

That is the cost to taxpayers but the taxpayers money is going to the defense corporations and the elite are getting richer from war. So, isn't it really a transference of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy 2%ers?!!! Sure looks that way. Of course there is the population culling too. But Americans bought the whole thing and think they are patriotic as they wave their flags on the way to the slaughter house.
