PlusReport: McMahon Fighting Home ForeclosureReport: McMahon Fighting Home ForeclosureThe Associated PressEd McMahon, who for decades appeared as Johnny Carson's sidekick on 'The Tonight Show,' is fighting to avoid foreclosure on his multimillion-dollar Beverly Hills home, according to published reports. (June 4)NATS UP-- COMMERCIAL He made a career out of helping Americans' dreams come true... But now Ed McMahon is reportedly the one in need of help. Johnny Carson's longtime sidekick on "The Tonight Show" is allegedly in danger of losing his Beverly Hills, California mansion. The Wall Street Journal first reported McMahon is close to 650-thousand dollars behind in payments on his nearly 5-million dollar mortgage. The former "Star Search" host hasn't been able to work since he broke his neck 18 months ago. McMahon's spokesman says the 85-year-old pitchman and his wife are in "fruitful discussions" with his mortgage company to try work out a deal. McMahon's real estate agent says the six-bedroom, five-bath house has been on the market for two years. It's in a hilltop gated community that overlooks famed Mulholland Drive. But the agent says it's been a tough sell, partly because pop star Britney Spears is a neighbor -- and she attracts paparazzi. ___ ___, The Associated Press.RESTRICTIONS: commercial: courtesy publishers clearing house pics: www.hiltonhyland.com

He only said that so that some crazy fan or some press will buy his place so they can watch her ALL the time .. buy his house and have spears be your freak neighbour. lol just kidding.. good luck to the amercian home owners - you should have all planned ahead and saved your money.

Is wife is still young enough to work and I am sure there is a grocery store or Wal Mart somewhere around Beverly Hills.

Unbelievable!!He made over $200 million in his life and he lost it all. Does anyone really feel bad for him? I sure as hell don't. He is a drunk,a womanizer, and has always led a lavish lifestyle and now it's time to pay the fiddler. The next news will be his divorce. Wifey will be finding another old, rich guy who can pay the bills while she "bones" the pool guy. What a joke! There are alot of hard-working people needing finiancial help and not one of them ever wasted $200 mil. Ed, just go away.

I hope he ends up a homeless crazy man. Many people (especially old) were swindled by Publisher's Clearing House. He helped cheat people to make money and over extended himself with his buying habits and gold digging young wife. Boo Hoo I'll lose a lot of sleep over that. Many friends I know are having a hard time staying in a modest home.

That's not helping people reach a dream, that's scaming them out of money few of them could afford, often making them think they had already won those phoney fortunes..

Hey Larry, you obviously thought Ed McMahon's predicament was serious enough to put him on your show, why don't you help him out and pay his mortgage. How much do you make a year working for CNN? -- 5-6 Million a year. You and Ed are DISGUSTING! -- using your show to host a stinking telethon to save his home.

Incredible! Unbelievable! Outrageous! Ed and this woman go on Larry King and cry, looking for public sympathy and contributions because their 6Million dollar home is in foreclosure. SHAME ON YOU Ed. You earned millions in during your lifetime unfortunately you squandered it all living the "high life" and now you want the public to donate to your stupid, idiotic, lavish life style. Ed you deserve your situation man. No sympathy to you and to that woman. Tell her to work.

Hey Ed. Here's an idea. How about your wife going to work? Face facts, she only married you for your money (she's 32 years younger than you), and you pissed away your money. Life's tough trying to keep up with the Jones" and Spears' out there in Bev Hills. Your a deadbeat. Pay off your debts.
