I can't say that this performace is deep. It is just to entertain. It lack s depth and drama that exists in this piece. Listen to Gergiev's recording to compare. Or any other recording of serious musicians. By the way the music is VERY soviet. It is vero 1920s I would say.

A great inspiring tune with a wonderful motif, and he has the musicians out amongst the crowd for a true celebration.

Andre is very talented, but his excessive passion is a turn off for me. Don't let me discourage you though. I still don't understand why he has that lady playing the saxaphone. She is a not a good saxaphone player. She stood out in the show I saw as being the ONE person who lacked credible talent.

If Andre is a 12 step program than let's have more and more of it. The world is in DEFINITE need of some SERIOUS therapy. Rock on Andre !!! AHO AHO AHO[ Are you confusing arrogance with Passion for what he does ?]

for all that he did to it, given the state of classical music these days, at least he got them to listen to it
