I agree as long as you pay your regular bill no one can take your home, But if i got it right they couldn't pay because there monthly bill got bigger because of that company.... then again i don't care....

@klamata88 did you see the same video as I? Why do you think what happened to them couldn't have happened? I SEE this happening every day. Believe it...it's happening and it has NOTHING to do with buying more house than they can afford.

wilatemodel >> I hear ya. I have several friends with homes "paid for". But they still can't escape those pesky property taxes, utility bills, HOA's, insurance and HEFTY repair costs! :)But for many others who have a mortgage, that american dream thingy is now a nightmare. If only they could have seen what was coming....

@EliyahMessageTime ....so....how much did the FED pay you to say that?....
wilatemodel (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@aspenmogul ..even if its paid for,..you r still just a Tennant,.....read your deed,...your home will always b owned by the FED !!

Countrywide got me for a $350.00 application fee to refinance with them last year. But I later cancelled it because they were taking too long to close the deal. Now I know why. Luckily I'm only out $350.00 instead of my home like these poor folks. But I sure would like my $350.00 back.

Unless your home is paid for, you don't own it --- THE BANK OWNS IT! The BANK is your landlord. But listen up, because of the meltdown, you can rent a nicer house, for much less than owning it. Screw the banks and rent the high-life. Let some greedy fool make the payments on a depreciating "asset". Lastly, the real estate thingy is over. If you didn't get to participate (and make money), then wave it bye-bye, because IT'S OVER! |
